Editorial & Corrections Policy
How we write, check and correct what we publish.
Last updated: 13 October 2026
Our standard
- Plain language. Every guide is written for a citizen reading on a phone, with legal terms explained the first time they appear.
- Current law. We cite the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, the Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam and the Labour Codes where they apply, with older section numbers in brackets only to help readers.
- Verified citations. Section numbers, deadlines, amounts and helplines are checked against the bare Act, official notifications, court records or official portals before publication. Where something cannot be verified, we say so or leave it out.
- Review. Articles are written or reviewed by members of our Editorial Board, all of whom teach law, and show the date they were last reviewed.
- Independence. We do not accept payment for coverage, and we do not publish advertising.
Guest Column
Submissions are read by the editor, may be edited for clarity and accuracy, and are published under the author's name. Opinions are the author's own.
Corrections
If you spot a mistake, use the "Spotted an error? Tell us" link at the end of any article, or write to editor@nyayapathshala.co.in. We aim to review reports within seven days. Factual corrections are made on the page and the review date is updated.
